Hawaii & America – The Will To Correct?

Is THIS Freedom or Not?
🙂
Even when you are a captive in your own environment you still have choices,  live with it or make the necessary changes. It takes a bit of extra effort to escape but it’s usually worth it. For some strange reason, the majority of those who live in Hawaii choose to remain captive.
🙂
Anyone that has read my past letters or other posts know that I am not fond of MOST Democrat politicians, especially if they are from California and Hawaii, two places I have lived for a large portion of my adult life. For the most part the Democrats in these two States in my opinion, are without a doubt the most arrogant, self-centered, morally corrupt individuals in our society. The sad part but easily proven fact is that, the longer they are in office, the worse they get and the worse the State gets.
🙂
Just speaking for myself here, with that in mind, you can imagine that the election results for Nov 6th 2012 will NOT go down in my memory as one of the greatest days of my life or, in my opinion, American history. Realizing the fact that I’ve been around for a long time you would guess that I have seen the coming and going of several Presidents and other power-hungry politicians and have NOT always been happy with the results.
🙂
My personal opinion is that ANYONE that wants to be President is a power-hungry idiot or has a mental imbalance and should be considered insane and taken to the loony bin for some serious examinations – BEFORE he/she is allowed to run or take office!
🙂
For the most part when the dust has settled I, as do most Americans, accept the choice of our fellow citizens. We know that we did our best to help make some changes, however unsuccessful, and have decided to get on with our lives now that the election is over. We adjust to our disappointment and wait for the next election with the hopes that “our guy” will win. This year and 2010 were particular disappointments to me (actually many of us) because of what we consider the poor judgement of our fellow voters both at the State and Presidential levels.
🙂
In 2010 while Americans across the country made some good decisions and replaced many people in the House of Representatives while the people of Hawaii chose to a Democrat, hippy, pot smoking, Vietnam anti-war protester as Governor rather than a well qualified clean-cut Republican that had the experience of being a Lt. Governor for eight years.
🙂
We saw that this year, the race for president was once more controlled by the Dems and their corrupt political gang that were competent at finding dirt, spreading outright lies and half truth, never admitting what they were saying was inaccurate even when it was proven so. Their ability to twist the facts and make hopeful Americans buy into their garbage is little short of amazing.
🙂
This year the Democrats in Hawaii chose, for the important job of Senator from Hawaii, a woman with NO accomplishments and a gift for lying about her opponent and very little else. From the beginning of the campaign, she, as our President, chose to run a dirty campaign or false truths, lies, innuendos and promises they can’t keep or just WON’T keep, instead of their poor record. Her “platform” was “I will support Obama’s agenda” as if that was the brightest bulb she could see, since she obviously didn’t have any very bright ideas herself!
🙂
For Hawaiians it seems that the choice between who they elected and who was more qualified and would do a better job seemed to be something they decided to just ignore. What the logic is I fail to understand but it seems that the “good ole boy” network is alive and well and flourishing.
🙂
To many of us that are awake, the contrast between Mazie Hirono and Linda Lingle was stark. One was sharp, well poised, accomplished and had the obvious ability to work with both sides of congress.
🙂
The other candidate was self-centered, self-important, no accomplishments, a fantastic liar with a very notable lack of integrity but lots of high power (Union) friends that had their own best interests at heart.
🙂
If the majority of the people of Hawaii actually cared about honesty, integrity and the ability to fulfill the responsibilities of office, for all practical purpose it should have been a slam dunk for Linda Lingle. Instead, the poorest choice for the US Senate won the election.  The Mainland media announced it well before the actual election in Hawaii was called!
🙂
It was quite obvious by the way the Obama and Mazie supporters ran their campaigns, that we had at least two “Hawaiians” that pretend to be aware of the meaning of Aloha. After months of watching the course of the Democrats do their best to sling mud at Gov Lingle, it’s obvious that they, at the least, had actually lost the concept of the true meaning of Aloha!
🙂
So, due to the successful slime tactics of the Liberal Left, It will be years before we can even attempt correct the mistakes of 2010 and 2012.  Some how I doubt that even then the citizens of our State or our Country have enough common sense to make the corrections that are needed.
🙂
Regardless of what we all think and feel – I still BELIEVE IN AMERICA, it’s just her people who need fixing!  Dealing with the corruption controlling our State and Federal government is the biggest mountain we have to climb!  lol

  1. To answer the question, it has been suggested that Hawaiian law requires the more detailed certification attesting to the legal qualifications under the US Constitution while the other states do not. However, I cannot find anything unique in the election laws listed in the Hawaii Revised Statutes that sets it apart from other states.
